The stretch in question runs alongside the Anfield Road Stand, where temporary closures have been in place around fixtures while the £60m expansion was completed and bedded in. According to the Liverpool Echo, the club have now submitted proposals to Liverpool City Council for a permanent traffic regulation order, which would formalise those closures rather than relying on repeated short-term measures.
